France & Germany 2024

This trip started outside of the lovely Strasbourg, France with a visit to the MASSIVE Musée National de l'Automobile. We've been here before but the amount of vehicles on display is hard to fathom, reaching all the way back to an example from the first ever automobile production run. We had the good fortune to end our time in France by being welcomed at the Bugatti factory. We couldn't have timed it much better as the production line was almost exclusively filled with examples of the impressive Bolide track-only car. Getting to see under the skin of that beast was such a pleasure! No photos of that were allowed, of course.

Our destination from the Bugatti factory was the Nurburgring, where we spent multiple days taking in the atmosphere and doing laps, including a few in the absolute track-weapon of a car, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Stuttgart was next up after the Nurburgring for a visit of the Porsche & Mercedes museums. With so many historical vehicles to choose from, you get to see new things every time you visit which means it never gets old! We capped off Germany with a trip to Pfaffenhausen to take a look behind the scenes at the RUF facility and were lucky enough to spend some time with both Alois and Estonia Ruf - talk about a great way to sign off from another great experience!
