World Ducati Week 2024
World Ducati Week is something every Ducati fan should experience, so we took a few to Italy this year to join the festivities at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Before we made our way to the Riccione area near Misano, we spent a few days in Bologna where we visited the Ferruccio Lamborghini museum and the Dallara factory. Across the river from Dallara is the Varano racetrack, which was hosting an open-wheel test day. As has almost become the norm for us, we talked our way into throwing our nine-passenger van around the track. While it was fun, we didn't get close to the track record.
Misano is located near the Adriatic Coast and even if World Ducati Week wasn't happening, the location alone makes going there worth the trip. With this being the first World Ducati Week for Marc Marquez, the atmosphere was electric and the whole event was memorable. Adding a visit to Tavullia, the hometown of Valentino Rossi, made the visit even better.
After our time on the Adriatic Coast, we made our way back to Bologna, where we did a whirlwind museum/factory tour visiting Ducati, Pagani, Ferrari and Lamborghini before finishing the trip with a very relaxing wine, cheese & olive oil experience.
